Amigurumi The Greatest Wizard crochet

 



Materials:

  • Yarn:
    • Beige (for the face and hands)
    • Blue (for the hat, cloak, and robe)
    • White or light gray (for the beard and hair)
    • Brown (for the staff)
    • Black (for the eyes)
  • Crochet Hook: Size appropriate for your yarn, typically 3.5 mm (E-4) or 4 mm (G-6).
  • Polyester stuffing
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Safety eyes: 8mm or 10mm

Pattern:

Body (Beige and Blue):

  1. Rnd 1: Start with a magic ring in beige, 6 sc in the ring. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: Sc 1, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: Sc 2, inc around. (24)
  5. Rnd 5: Sc 3, inc around. (30)
  6. Rnd 6: Sc 4, inc around. (36)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff the body firmly with polyester stuffing.

Head (Beige):

  3. Rnd 3: Sc 1, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: Sc 2, inc around. (24)
  5. Rnd 5-11: Sc around. (24)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Attach safety eyes between Rnds 7 and 8, about 6 stitches apart. Stuff the head and sew it onto the body.

Arms (Make 2) (Beige and Blue):

  1. Rnd 1: Start with a magic ring in beige, 6 sc in the ring. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3-5: Sc around. (12)
  4. Rnd 6: Change to blue yarn, sc around. (12)
  5. Rnd 7-16: Sc around. (12)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff the arms lightly and sew them to the sides of the body.

Beard and Hair (White or Light Gray):

  1. For the beard, cut several strands of white yarn approximately 6 inches long.
  2. Attach the strands to the face using a latch hook method or by simply tying them in knots, starting just below the eyes.
  3. For the hair, attach strands of yarn in a similar way around the back of the head.

You can trim the beard and hair to the desired length and style them to your liking.

Hat (Blue):

  1. Rnd 1: Start with a magic ring, 6 sc in the ring. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: Sc 1, inc around. (9)
  3. Rnd 3: Sc 2, inc around. (12)
  4. Rnd 4: Sc 3, inc around. (15)
  5. Rnd 5: Sc 4, inc around. (18)
  6. Rnd 6: Sc 5, inc around. (21)
  7. Rnd 7: Sc 6, inc around. (24)
  8. Rnd 8-15: Continue increasing every 6 stitches until the hat reaches the desired size. (Increase rounds by adding 1 sc between increases each time.)
  9. Rnd 16-20: Sc around without increasing. (This will form the brim of the hat.)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Place the hat on the wizard's head and secure it with a few stitches if necessary.

Cloak (Blue):

  1. Row 1: Ch 30 (or more, depending on the size of your wizard), sc in each ch across.
  2. Row 2-12: Sc across, ch 1, turn.

For the cloak's collar: 3. Row 13: Sc in the first 10 stitches, ch 1, turn. 4. Row 14: Sc in the first 5 stitches, ch 1, turn. 5. Row 15: Sc across and fasten off.

Sew the cloak around the wizard’s neck and attach it with a small chain or button in the front.

Staff (Brown):

  1. Rnd 1: Start with a magic ring, 6 sc in the ring. (6)
  2. Rnd 2-30: Sc around, increasing the length to match the wizard's height.

For the staff's top:

  1. Rnd 1: Start with a magic ring, 6 sc in the ring. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: Sc 1, inc around. (9)
  3. Rnd 3: Sc around. (9)
  4. Rnd 4: Dec around. (6)

Fasten off and sew the top of the staff to the straight part.

Finishing:

  1. Make sure all parts are securely attached.
  2. Weave in all loose ends.
  3. Adjust the stuffing if needed.
