  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: 2 sc, inc around. (24)
  5. Rnds 5-8: sc around. (24)
  6. Rnd 9: 2 sc, dec around. (18)
  7. Rnd 10: sc, dec around. (12)
  8. Rnd 11: sc around. (12)

Stuff firmly.

Body:

  2. Rnd 2: sc, inc around. (9)
  3. Rnd 3: 2 sc, inc around. (12)
  4. Rnd 4-6: sc around. (12)

From here, continue with just sc around until the body reaches your desired length (around 60-80 cm or longer if you want). Keep adding fiberfill as you go to ensure the body stays firm but flexible.

Tail:

Continuing from the body:

  1. Rnd 1: sc, dec around. (9)
  2. Rnd 2: sc around. (9)
  3. Rnd 3: sc, dec around. (6)
  4. Rnd 4: sc around. (6)
  5. Rnd 5: dec around. (3)
  6. Fasten off, and sew the opening closed.

Tongue (Optional):

Using a contrasting yarn (e.g., red):

  1. Ch 5, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, sl st in each remaining ch.
  2. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
  3. Sew the tongue to the front of the head, just below the eyes.

Finishing:

  1. Attach the head to the body.
  2. Weave in all ends.

This pattern will create a coiled, life-like snake with a flexible, poseable body. The length can be adjusted to suit your preference. Let me know if you need any modifications or additional details!
